Gears and Gas

So, How big of a difference does it make? I'm Spending about $90 a week in gas right now, How Much Would that Change? I'm Currently running 35's with 3.55 Gearing. How bout if I went to 4.56?

40% City
20% Highway
40% Country Roads

Do it. I'm not sure what it comes out to be.

It will be great performance and gaswise in the city. Your mileage will go down when on the highway due to higher rpms. Country roads are where gears shine. at about 45-55/60 you feel the most power, the truck is in its power band, and your rpms are low.

The truck wont struggle like it does now with 35's and 3.55s

What MPG's are you getting? I have 4.88's and I get 12.5 if I can keep my foot off of the floor. 4.56's should get better than what I'm getting.

The more you keep it under 70 on the highway the better you will get. you should be able to get in the 13's i would say

uhh i think 1600-1800. something like that. at 70 it sits right at 2000.

From 60-80 any pressure on the gas makes the tach needle move quite a bit.

efuehrin hit the nail right on the head.
