Another gear question

Im running 285/75, with the 5.4 on my 02, and it seems kinda sluggish, thinking I need to regear. From the sound of it 4.10 is the way to go. My question is what all do you need to purchase for a regear? I cruised ebay, and saw 4.10 gears selling for like $70. But then read how people are spending 1k + for new gears installed. So Im thinking Im leaving something out.

Great, this is gonna cost me I see. Will running the 285/75 hurt my transmission while I wait to save up for new gears?

you should be okay. several members have run up to a 35'' tire on stock gears no problem, myself included. however, when you start trying to run 37's on stock gears, that's where you break transmissions.
