not really worth it to swap to the 3.73s but with just the stock size tires you're gonna be burning them off very quickly with anything 4.10 or over

I might say stay away from 4.10's. They tend to have whining noise more than most sets. I've had two and they still whine.

4.10s.

Installed correctly, they won't whine. Mine didn't.

I don't know. The first set I might have believed you but the second I had done at another shop and they did a painful amount of explaining how they installed them and they still whine at certain speeds. I'd be hard pressed to think they installed them wrong. I'm not the only one to experience gear whine with 4.10's.

I also have 4.10 gears and mine are quiet. I went with Motive and had a friend that works at a large Ford Dealership do the install. He has the factory setup tools and has done several gear swaps. I am very pleased with mine. My tires are about the same size as yours (265/70/17) and at 70 mph I'm turning about 2300 - 2400 rpm. Gas mileage stayed about the same or might have improved slightly.
