i blew the transfer case out of my 97 f150 with 4.6l, auto 8.8 inch gears. My friend has an 89 f150 with a 302 and 8.8 inch gears. His transfewr case is available to me. Will it fit. Mine is a borgwarron #4406 but I don't know what his is. Please help!

 

His is a BW 1356. I don't know if it will fit though. The 1356s were supposedly overkill in a Bronco or 150. Ford used them in the their 3/4 and 1 tons too, so they are strong. How did your transfer case blow? Thats the first failure that I have heard of. I wish I knew how the 44-06 compared to the 1356, maybe someone could tell me.
