Question What size gears?

Ok, I've been browsing around online and searching through the forums and can't seem to find a clear answer. I own a new 2008 F-150 FX4 5.4L and want to regear to 4.56 since I plan on getting a 6" lift with 35" tires.

Question is, what exactly do I need for the install, gears and all. I've seen numbers like 8.8 and 9.25, but I'm not a 100% sure which ones I need. I'm guessing I need to replace the front and back, so what sizes would I need specifically?

I've heard Yukon are a good brand, so I think I'll go with them, but could someone please post a link to a seller that sells exactly the gears and install kit I may need so I can atleast get a better idea?

You should have a 9.75" rear and a 8.8" reverse cut front.

you sure about the reverse cut ?

To the OP, check out Randy's Ring and Pinion. He's got an FAQ section that may help get you going. I worked with a local trans and drive line shop in my area and we priced and just ordered the 4.56 setup and install kits yesterday. Getting installed on 4/14. Can't wait
