Front end clicking sounds

I drive a 1995 f150xl 4.9 6cyl. I have had the truck for 7 years. the truck has 122,000 miles on it and has only had 2 owners. About a month ago I noticed a clicking sound coming from the front end (seems to be drivers side) I didnt think much of it till it started getting more prominent. I thought it might be a bad shocks soo I changed them, but the problem didnt go away. The clicking seems to be most noticable while turning or going over bumps. It seems to be getting worse also. I have no idea what it is. Before taking to a shop to be charged an arm and a leg to be told what it is, I figered id come here to seek out help. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If it's a clicking in turns and a "poping" noise when you hit bumps sounds like it could be ball joints .

I have a 02 f150 fx4 and had it in the shop for popping noises in the front end also. Most prominent when backing into parking spaces. (backing and turning) It turned out to be the cross member that is under the oil pan that also attaches to the front differencial. They removed it and cleaned the contact point and reistalled it. $144.00 later it is fixed. I thought it was the ball joints also.
