Spider Gear Removel

So all I can find about it is that once you take the 8mm bolt out the spider gear pin should just fall out.... Well not the case for me. This sucker wont hardly move at all. Ive tryed looking up ways of getting it out and all I find is that you need a really really big hammer... haha well tryed that and still dosent move much at all. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so how did you get it out? Do I just keep bangin on this sucker? Any input would be awesome! Thanks guys.

when you took the bolt out what did it look like? it is possible the pin part of the bolt is broken off and still stuck in there. happens quite often.

oh i'll give it a shot, been a while and i never paid attn to how it came out easy for me. i think i shoved the notched side out first by rotating it to where it faced down at a 45* angle roughly toward the front and bottom of the diff. most times i could just put my thumb on it and out she would come. obviously you dont have the room to shove it out into the 3rd member so you have to get it to move then rotate it to where u can pull it out.

Thank guys, Ill double check and see if part of it broke off in there.

And the problem is that I cant get it far enough out to grab anothing when I rotate it it hardly moves at all and I mean you cant even really tell other then the fast that its not totally flush with the rest haha.

We had the same problem with a buddy of mines truck a few years back and we used an air hammor and a torch and blew the bitch to bits and just got all new everything haha but I really dont want to go down the road with this one haha.
