Traction-lok interchange question

I have a 2002 with the 9.75" differential. It's an open differential and I'm looking put in a posi. I've been looking at a Ford traction-lok unit that was removed from a Expedition/Navigator with a 9.75 differential. The only difference is that the listing stated that the Expedition/Navigator are independent rear axles. The seller states that this will work in my truck but I'm looking for a little more assurance or anybody who can verify/confirm this. Thanks.

check the spline count on the expedition axle at randys ring and pinion website. That will answer your q.
