Any type of spool is locked, meaning that the tires a forced to turn the same speed. If you used one on the front axle, you would have a hard time turning the truck. The steering would have heavy resistance. It is basically an off road only setup.

lol aside from the fact its a "mini" spool and i could probably break it. you dont want it in the front of your truck. too much stress up front with a stock axle. plus, im not familiar with 04+ but isnt the front diff always spinning like a 97-03?

04+ the front only spins when engaged. Not recommended in driven on the street. spend the extra cash and get a selectable diff. If you ever have to use it on the street (snow)it will be difficult to control.

I was considering an Elocker but my thoughts were if I want posi when selected then what would be different with a mini spool it would only be posi when I put it in 4x4 any other time the hubs would be free and Elocker or any good posi locker would hold true posi anyways right???
