I have a rear end code 27 on a 01 f150 screw. I looked at the list but only found the code under the f250. Anyone know what rear end code this is?

i've got the 27 code in my 02 F150 that i bought last month as well and ran into the same thing, i could only find the 27 code listed under the F250 no matter where i looked. however, luckily i found the original window sticker with the owner's manual and it listed the rearend diff gears as 3.31 ratio and an open differential

Thanks for the info. Any idea onthe max trailer weight for this rear end with a 5.4? I cant find it on the chart.

 

The charts I can find only go back to 2002, and the 2002 Screw didn't offer 3.31's. With 3.55's, the 2002's are:

5.4 4x2 - 8000
5.4 4x4 - 7100 or 7600 depending on wheels/tires

 

I didn't even know they put 3.31's on the F250... that thing must DOG.
