Question traction-lok

is a traction-lok axle available for the ford 4X4. I have it on my 91 and would rather have it on my new one i just have not seen it listed as an option or is it standard? I know limited slip is available but I would rather have the traction-lok.

"Traction-Lok" is simply Ford's trade name for a limited slip. It isn't a locker, despite the name.

Question

are you sure of the limited slip and trac-lok the same becasue the early 90 trucks came with a trak lok and a limited slip. a trac lok was just noted by an L on the differential tag and a limited slip was LS and an open was no designation other than just the ratio. I know my 96 mustang gt was designated with a trac-lok and not limited slip

forgot to mention I do know that the trac-lok is not a true locker. I am just comparing my 91 with a friend of mine who had a limited slip. this was noted on the differential tag
