rear end locker

rear end locker

im thinkin bout gettin a locker for my 96 f150..its got an 8.8 rear end with 31 spline but i need to kno if it's a 7/8 shaft because the locker says its for 8.8 31spline 7/8 shaft..thanks

I think you will be fine. 31 spline for 8.8 will fit

Spider Shaft Diameter

The earlier 8.8" units (early 1980's) had a 3/4" diameter differential spider shaft. Apparently you are ordering a locker that will utilize use of you're open case carrier?

i'm sorry but wt are you asking from that last question? i'm just wondering if it would be the 3/4 or 7/8 shaft because those are the choices to chose from for purchase.
