Accelerator hesitation

My guess is it's an issue with all new F150's but when stopped on a hill and either going forward or in reverse there is considerable hesitation after i step on the gas. I live in a cramped alley and am always backing into the
neighbors garbage cans. Not that I care but i am not trying to pay for a new garbage can when my truck crushes them SOB's.

How do I remedy this and get better throttle response?

Thanks for the knowledge~Pizzle

Hey man i think this might be a general problem with Fords do you buy chance have a 4.2L... my 1999 is doing the say thing! if i try to pass someone and step on the gas there is a delay before acceleration! its not sliping or high reving just delay! im gonna change the MAF, Plugs, Plug Wires, and Airfilter! if thats not it then i will be taking it to get the feul pump checked

No. I have an 04, 5.4 Triton. No problems passing people that's for sure. Just when at a stop on a hill.

My 05 doers the same thing.I think its just an issue with the wire style throttlebody instead of cable like the 03 and older ones.I heard that getting it reflashed by the dealership helps it some but I heard an aftermarket programmer does pretty good at curing it.I'm gonna find out soon I hope when I get an edge.
