Hello all;

I recently purchased a 2004 F-150 supercrew lariat. Currently has 46,250 miles on it. Now and then when I am driving in 2-wheel drive, a 'spinning', whining noise will come from the front end. As soon as I turn the switch to
4-wheel high, the noise will stop. Any suggestions as to what this is?

My04 fx4 had the same deal the dealer replaced the vac valve that pulls in the front drive,if it leaks like mine it will try to slowly engauge while you drive hope this helps!
