Lockout Hubs for F150??

I have an 03 F150. Is is normal for the front axle shafts to always be locked with the outer hub? Does anyone know if anybody makes manual lockout replacement hubs for late model F150's?

Yes it is normal, as all there is at the wheel is a CV joint. Locking and unlocking for the front is done at the differential.

if you look at the front ends design, the hubs are not something that looks easy to design a locking hub for. i have not seen one and probably will not.

although interestingly enough i have seen warn make a kit that converted the rear 8.8 to a full floating axle and added locking hubs. dont make it anymore though
