4.56 gears

i want to put 4.56 in my 4.2L f150 before i put a lift and tires on it is this a bad choice? should i put on the lift and tires then get the gears later on? plan on running 36-37 later this year!

you have the 4.2L thats a V6 correct thats what Im running with 35s and 4.56s, I would not want to run a tire any larger than 35 it would be to much for the truck.

too much for the engine? or too much for the other components? i had 36" on a ranger and it was fine with 4:10 gears and a 4cylinder!

The truck runs good with the 35s and 456 gears any more than that and it would strain the drive train to much thats just a big heavy tire .
