Smile Differential Decision

I am re-gearing my rear end (4:10). I want to add a new differential. I am looking for a posi (like) or locker.

What do you guys/gals advise I go with.

I want quiet operation, and, kick a** traction.

4.6 triton, 98 F-150 2wd, automatic.

Thanks bunches!

If money is not an issue I would go with an air locker. They allow you to have an open diff for normal driving then when you want traction a flip of a switch will lock the differential for max traction.

Thanks!

Yea, I'm not too keen on the air locker idea. (mainly becaust of money, LOL)

I guess, I have decided on the Detroit EZ locker. It should be a good mate to my new 4:10's.

If there are any more opinions, I will sure be glad to hear them. I am not buying for another month yet.

Thanks again!
