I bought a 2004 FX4 Supercab and need to find the computer to get the number off of it so I can reset the code on the touch pad. I didn't realize it was anywhere I couldn't easily find it, and when I called the dealer that I bought the truck from, he told me he could only find the code by hooking it up to the diagnostics computer and wanted to charge me 40 bucks! the manual says the code is on the computer, but doesn't say where the computer is located. any ideas?

 

Take out the rear seat back and you will find it. To find out how to pull the rear, search the 2004 up forum.
If the dealer is a Ford dealer and he wanted to charge me to get what he should have given me in the first place, I would be doing my best to roast his n*ts.
