Vibration in brake pedal

Hello I have posted this question in the "brake" section but the guys over there seem to think I should post here.

I own a 2005 5.4 f150. It is a 4 wheel drive.

I have noticed when I am stopped at a stop light I get a vibration come from the brake pedal If I shift into neutral the vibration goes away as soon as i shift into drive the vibration comes back. Doesn't happen all the time but seems to be getting more frequent.

Thanks for any help

Vibration in break pedal

I have the exact same issue....totally identical. I only hear the vibration when in drive. If I shift to neutral, then it goes away. I noticed when I turned the steeringwheel the noise subsides then comes back as I rotate the wheel back and fourth. I am still under warranty so I took my truck to ford and within 20 seconds of looking at my car they told me it is the powersteering pump. They have replaced the pump, but I still hear the noise. I took the truck back to ford and they told me they needed to bleed the pump more and blah blah blah! Same noise, exact same problem. I am figuring one: that the pump they installed was bad or two: they don't have a clue as to what the problem is!

Taking my car back today to see what they tell me. I will keep you posted.

sounds like a tie rod end to me I would check you inner and outer tie rod ends as well as the ball joints. I had the same issue with mine and it ended up being the outer tie rod end on the drivers side 25 dollars alot of cursing some bleeding knuckles later its all fixed. hope this helps.

check your front skid plate if you have one. Mine was dented and vibrated in the manner as your problem.

Went to dealership today to investigate the vibrating in/underneath my break pedal. I drove around with one of the technicians and he said that it is definitely not my power steering pump, but since it only vibrates when in Drive or Reverse, sounds more like my transmission. They will know sometime tomorrow!
