Humming noise?????
Humming noise?????
Between 40 and 50mph, I hear a humming noise and I can not pin point the origin. It sounds as though it is coming from the rear???? Here's the interesting part. I only hear it when I apply constant and even pressure to the accelarater, and maintain constant speed. It goes away if I accelerate or take my foot off the gas. I have an 02 Screw with 45k, does anyone know what this sound is? Thanks for any input
no but I have the exact same thing I have a 05 f150 5.4 exact same thing there is a tws or something like that out on it ford has a kit includes a ring and pinion and gear kit if thats what it is might take mine to the dealer Mon if they are opened still have a 1000 miles left on my warranty I have a 3.55 ls see if they well chang it to a 4.10 thanks and good luck
I would like to know because my 98 with 100k miles is doing the exact thing to the letter. Only between 40-50mph. I got a price on swapping the rear ends today but would rather save the $900 if its something minor. I was told its probably pinion bearing.
