I was looking at my engine today and found a hose that comes from the front axle and goes up about 12 inches, back about 12 inches and then ends....its not connected to anything...it just ends. Does anyone know what this is for and if it is supposed to be connected to anything?

 

Front diff breather tube. Your rear also has one.
