Transfer case fill point

Transfer case fill point

Before I crawl under the truck to add fluid, can someone tell me where vthe fill point is on the transfer case so I am not looking arouind all day. Also, what are people using in their cases? Thanks.

Don't know the model # but it is on a '97 F150 4.6L with manual shift transfer case

Can't help you with fill location but it uses Mercon spec ATF.

Dont know, but would think it's easy to find. Either a 1/2 or 3/8 (prolly 1/2) female plug. Usually they are on the backside of the case, but not 100% sure of it being there. If you find two of them, the fill plug is the higher of the two..
