How much should it cost to replace the front bearings?

I have an 2001 F150 supercrew. The dealer wants $700 to replace both front wheel bearings. Is this a fair deal? Should I have him replace anything else while he has it apart? 116K miles.

WOW! I would suggest finding a small local shop. Way too high in my opinion. As far as replacing other stuff, it just depends on the condition of your rotors and brake pads while you have them exposed.

There is a reason the Chinese bearings are cheaper, but $700 is a little tall...

Is your truck 4x4? If so then the bearings themsleves cannot be replaced, but you have to replace the entire hub assembly. They run around $260 a piece.

i got ford bearings for 220 each. my ford bearings lasted the truck 175k with a lift for the later 40~ish. not bad for going back with a ford replacement part. oh and napa / schucks were about $80 more than ford!

did install myself.
