Detroit Truetrack front diff

hey guys, i've got a 2000 f150 4x4. im looking for some input from anyone who actually has a dertroit truetack diff installed in an 8.8" IFS front diff with CDS.

how bad does the truck pull to the left, if at all?

does the front driveshaft spin when truck is in motion in 2H?

what size tires/gear ratio are you running?

any ratcheting vibration when driving?

while doing my gears in the front diff, i see that the previous owner had not re-installed the spider gears properly, rendering my front carrier NFG. since my carrier and guts need to be replaced, i figured it might be time to upgrade.

thanx guys

your drive shaft will always turn because it will be locked to the driverside axle. i'd spend a couple hundred more and get an arb if i were you. that's what i plan on if i don't convert mine to a straight axle. my front end is open right now so i can't tell you how it will behave while driving but i wouldn't trust the front driveshaft spinning at 70+ mph on the highway. i don't know how the driveshaft/transfer case would react to that. maybe somebody who has one will chime in
