Horsepower

Hey there. I've got a 1999 F150 XLT Extendedcab/Shortbox with a stock 4.2 V6. I was just wondering what I should start with to boost my horsepower reasonably without forking out excessive cash.

I'm sure this will depend on what kind of horsepower gain you are hoping to achieve. Some of the most common and cheapest means of gaining a few HP are exhaust kits, and air intakes. I've heard before that cleaning your mass airflow sensor can also improve performance slightly if you have never done it.

I'm sure other members will have some ideas as well
