How do I find out what kind of gears i have in my rear end? I really had never thought about it. can you find out with the VIN or the door information?

Mines an '06 supercrew 5.4L 3V (course prolly doesn't make a difference)

 

yes, I have the same stupid question. My door sticker shows an axle code of "26" Any one know what gears this represednts? Thanks!

 

I got a stupid answer, search button turned up 270 threads. its been gone over many many times

19 — 3.55 non-limited slip — F-150
25 — 4.10 non-limited slip — F-150
26 — 3.73 non-limited slip — F-150/Mark LT
27 — 3.31 non-limited slip — F-150
B5 — 4.10 limited slip — F-150
B6 — 3.73 limited slip — F-150/Mark LT
H9 — 3.55 limited slip — F-150

yah its okay, i know ive been around these boards for a little longer then you have, so i have to remember to play fair.... And there are alot of people that would have said what i said, and didnt post any results.
