Last night i helped my mechanic put new gears in the truck. When we were done pulled it out the shop everything sounded great. Then on the way home oh #@!^. Things started to go haywire. Sounds like someones humming really loud with a highpitched wine and a clank thrown in. Its comming from the front diff. When i put it in 4WD all the noise went away, put it back in 2wd and noise came back. It really does it only when the wheels are turned and when straighted it gradually goes away. I am going back to the shop tonight, just wondering what it could be and where to start looking.
