Can anyone help with this question... I believe i have a 5 on 5.5 lug pattern now and the 9.75 rears run the 5 on 135mm bolt pattern. Thats on the drums im not sure if its the same as the disc setup....

First off can anyone say if thats true or not, just what i read off the net.
So i guess im going to have to get my axles and rotors drilled to fit my 5 on 5.5 wheels until i get new wheels.

Also do all the f150's run an 8.8 axle in the front?

If i change the rear and the bolt pattern for the rear what will i have to do to make it match with the front? i dont want to end up running one pattern in the front and a totally different patter in the rear. that would suck every time i wanted to get wheels or new rotors i would need to get two of each.

Ok well i did some searching and i found that pre-97 used 5-5.5 and 97-03 used 5-135mm. but i thought the tire shop told me that my wheels were 5-5.5. So i'm guessing this was a false alarm and i shouldnt have to worry about that but if anyone has some input please post it.

There are alot of different rears out there in the 9.75, does it matter what tag it is.

It looks like 1999 was the first year that had disc in rear on the 9.75... So i guess i will start looking for a rear in that year. Just wondering what tag to look for if that even matters.

03 Ford F-150 9.75 rear end installed in a 97 Ford-150 8.8 rear end

I just installed a 9.75 rear end that come out of a 03 4x4 5.4L. Ford-150 in a 97 Ford-150 4x4 4.6L I had to use the driveshaft from the 03 f-150 because the 97 f-150 is a little too long and the lug nut studs are a little bigger but that's the only modifications needed if anyone needs to know
