replacement diff covers

replacement diff covers

I was thinking of replacing my diff cover, a buddy had recommened a vented diff cover. I hadnt heard of one I just thought their was one type,I guess I was wrong what do you all think is this factual if so how much better is the vented. Thanks

"Vented" isn't the right word. There are aftermarket companies that make "finned" diff covers, and others that make "trussed" covers that protect the axle tube & preload the carrier bearings. Then there are some that are purely cosmetic, with skulls & crap cast into them. Shop around...

I can't remember where I saw it, but I found a clear diff cover. It was made of bulletproof glass. Interesting concept, but I wouldn't trust it.
