9.75 lightining vs 9.75 04 and up rear end

I am trying to find the differences in these two rear ends. Are they both 31 splined axels? are the axel lengths the same? Are the brake caliper and e brakes the same? Reason I am asking is I am looking to convert my 04 F150 from 6x135 to 5x135 bolt pattern due to easyer wheel choices for drag radials. I am looking to replace the axels and rotors. Just seeing if anybody may have this info.

Thanks

I'm almost positive the shock mounts on the axle are in different spots on the lightning axle and the 04+ axle. I know the 04+ axles have the outboard mounted shocks. Not sure on the brake setups between the two. Hope that helps.

Couldn't you just swap out the axles themselves then? Assuming they are both 31 spline....

Well, I guess you would have to see if the axles where physically the same lenght as well..

Sorry, I don't know the exact answer for ya on that one!

Oops, I misread the question. I thought you were asking about the whole rear assembly.

ya Iwas just wondering if anybody had any idea on axel length and spline. I know the outer bearings and seals are the same between the two, I just dont know if the track is the same. If the track width is the same then more than likely it would just be a axel swap. Thanks for the replys
