Newbie with some 4X4 questions

BTW, I know a guy who always uses 4x4 with his f-250 diesel when drag racing (at the drag strip). He's been doing it for years with no problems that I'm aware of, but I dont think it's particularly good for it either... time will tell I guess.

these are some of the same types of questions I have been wanting to find out about. This is my first 4x4 as well so it's all new to me.
