Question Tranfer Case Plugs?

I was under my '98 F-150 changing my Transmission fluid/filter, and was going to do my Transfer case @ the same time but ran out of daylight. I did manage to locate the drain plug on the it, but couldn't see a fill plug near it. I will have a better look on my next day off, but was just wondering if anyone had some photos they could share for location of the plugs. I do have an older model Haynes book, and my Transmission (E4OD) is in this '95 Manual, so it might also contain my Transfer case. Could someone tell me my model, is it New Process 208 , Borg 13-45, Borg 13-56, or another creature all together. On a seperate note, can anyone recall where I could find an exploded series of pictures of my spark plug setup. I have a 5.4, Windsor, and have read all the stuff about plugs on here, just not sure how to go about pulling off the unique setup Ford has come out with here on this motor. Just want to see a step by step series of photos showing the disasembly of this ignition system.

There's a slim chance it's a 1356, but I don't think so. It's certainly not a 1345 or 208.

Your spark plugs are just recessed - there's nothing special about getting to them, other than using a socket with a good bushing inside so it grabs the plug as you lift it out. Just DON'T OVERTORQUE THEM when you put them back in.

The fill plug is up and to the right of the drain plug. The skid plate, if equipped, may make it harder to see. BTW your T-case is a Borg-Warner 44-06.

Thanks for the info, I found it all right when I went under with a light a few days ago, and it is a bit out of sight when that skidplate is mounted there. I saw them both , and will change the fluid first chance I get. I am still mad as can be about swapping out the tranny mount, who designed that? Job would have been 30 min if it was all bolted in from the bottom, instead of having bolts moulded right into the mount, that won't clear unless you drop the tranny crossmember!

You will find that a blessing if you ever off road hard enough to snap those bolts. It will keep the tranny from falling to the ground.
