Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that typically called a lunchbox-locker? Or am I thinking of something else?

a lunchbox is something that can be installed without removing the ring gear.

and after clicking the link...thats exactly what that is. guess it would help to look at everything before making a comment.

You're exactly right. That's one of the most typical lunchbox lockers. That and aussie lockers.

pretty cool. is it possible to get gears that are limited slip gears? or is it the rear end itself that make it an open differential?
