Talking Axle!

I notice while back that the paint on the rear axle began to flake off, so today I sanded it down and repainted it with Dupli-Color engine enamel. It only took 5-10min tops. the new paint can handle up to 550*F, more than enough for the axle. Here's the photo's check it out!https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?num=12238

Looks good, although I would have painted the whole thing.

That is just the first coat of 4( still wet). I sanded to bare metal, sprayed on some rust proof engine primer ( O'reily auto parts brand), 1 coat of enamel (snapped pic here) then 3 more coats of enamel, 1 coat of sealer. will get more pics tomorrow when completely drie.

By the way, it's a ceramic paint, and I plan on doing therest just did the worst of it today.

I shot mine with some undercoating to keep it from looking all rusted up.
