Power Steering Hose

Well I have now developed another problem to go along with my EGR system problem. When I was getting my oil changed today they said that the power steering hose going in to the box was lose. The guy did let me down in the pit to look at. The threaded part of the fitting that screws in to the box did not move but I could rock the part of the hose that is inside the fitting back and forth. Kind of hard to explain, but it seemed like it is a flared fitting that may just need to be tightened down and then the portion of the hose inside the fitting wouldn’t move. Is this correct?

Hopefully this made sense.

Well the shop said that it looks like one of the o-rings has gone bad. They said that they have to take the pulley off to be able to get the pump off to be able to get the hose off. Does this sound right? Anyway the hose is only an extra $26. So they are going to replace the hose sometime next week. Just curious if that sounds right that they have to remove the power steering pump to be able to take the hose off.
