Rear End Gearing Recommendations for SuperCharger
Rear End Gearing Recommendations for SuperCharger
Hello All,
I've bent a rear axle, since I will be installing a Powerdyne setup, I would like to replace my rear end from the stock 3.08 gearing (Imagine that!) at the same time. There's a place around the corner from my house called The Rear End Shop and I have a appt to talk with them about my setup (or potential setup). I was wondering if anyone could pass along any information on:
1. the best Gear set to use (or what you are using and your impression.) I'm thinking 3.89 to 4.11's 4.56's seem like too much. (No, I have not finished RPM Vs. MPH for the various configurations yet, but will tonight.)
2. Torque Converter Recommendations
3. Axel/ Axel Bearing changes?
4. do's, don'ts, and pitfalls
State Of The Truck info below
Know this is asking quite a bit.
Any input on any of these issues would be appreciated.
Thank you all!
