gear ratios avalible in 97?

Not sure of all of them, but if I remember correctly 3.55 would be 19 (open) or H9 (LS). That is probably the most likely rear. Also there were posts in the forum that list the rear codes in the past.

In '97, there may have been only 2; 3.08 and 3.55. I'm not sure a 3.73 was available in '97, but if so, that would be the 3rd. Probably all 4x4's got the 3.55. Don't know any more info on the axle codes.

Here are all the posible 97 axle codes:
l Rear axle ratio codes (A) are:
— 18 — 3.08.
— 19 — 3.55.
— 26 — 3.73.
— 27 — 3.31.
— H9 — 3.55 Limited slip.
— B6 — 3.73 Limited Slip.
FWIW, I have the 3.73 LS on my 97.
