1998 Rear End?

1998 Rear End?

I have a 1998 F-150 with the 5.4 Triton 4wd and i was wondering what rear end it has in it?

4.6's got the 8.8.
5.4's got the 9.75.
I'm not sure how it was in 98 but if you got the 7700 package you probably have the 10.25.

Basically, it's a "heavy half ton." In 1997 - 98, they called it the F-250 Light Duty, then changed it to the 7700 package after that. You can tell one from a distance by the unique 7 lug wheels and the special badge on the tailgate. They're actually pretty good trucks - but not nearly a Super Duty.

ok thanks for that info. how much horsepower can the 9.75 hold?
