front passenger wheel locks up in 4wd
Hi, I have a 68 F100 4x4. A few weeks ago i took it off-roading and it worked relatively well. I left it in 4wd, and when i recently drove it again on dirt, the front passenger side would occasionally lock up, when any kind of steering angle was provided. It is particularly bad when turning left (when it has to go faster than the driver side wheel).
This is particularly dangerous on some of the roads i drive on. If it locks at the wrong time I could go over the edge.
I have warn front hubs that you lock manually. When the hubs are not locked and its in 2wd it rides fine. I'm guessing the hub may need to be lubricated or replaced. However, I'm not sure that the problem couldn't be elsewhere in the driveline. How can I isolate and track down the root problem?
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

yes, check the king pins on the offending side. Sounds like you may have a severly worn or broken pin.
It only locks up in 4x4 cause that is the only time the axle and hub turn as a unit.
