stutter when going into od
ok... i just purchased 2000 f150 xlt ext. cab short bed 4x4 with the 4.6l auto. i love the truck to death!! ( just thought i'd let everyone know
) anyway i just bought the truck last week and i notice that when it shifts in and out of over drive it kinda stutters and makes a clunkin noise.... it has 108,000 on it. this is my first fullsize truck so i am kind of curious what this noise is.. is my tranny goin or rearend or what?? thanks

That sounds like a tranmission problem.
I have heard that a proper flush of the tranny fluid (not just drop the pan and install a new filter) and a new filter can do wonders for transmission stutter.
As for the clunk, I da know.
