To replace the boot requires disassembly of almost the entire halfshaft. It's much easier (and far less time-consuming) to hit-up the local AutoZone and replace the whole halfshaft for about $75.

I now have a Chinese Ford

I installed a new CV joint shaft ------ got from Advance Auto for $79 looked exactly like the old one except the boots don't have as many folds in them. After installation I noticed the box "Rebuilt in China" This is a Power Line brand with a lifetime warranty, anyone have any experience with this brand. I cut my old boot while replacing lower ball joints

I know a lot of guys that have replaced them.... The AutoZone Re-mans seem to hold up just as well as any others, and with the lifetime guarantee, at least if it does fail for some reason, you won't need to buy another.
