Rear Axle Ratio Code

My truck's data plate says that my rear axle code is H9. What gear ratio is this?

Same code here... 3.55 LS... what do you all think about 33 or 34s with that gear set... or should l just do 32s... (95 % dd driver just wanted something bigger then the 30s).... I know going from 30 to a 34 the 3.55 gears would be like 3.13 after that... but i drive about 75% of the time at 60 mph but up and down hills. what do you all think? and what tires can i fit with no cutting and no lift on a reg 4x4 Screw?

IMO, it'll bog down pretty good on the hills with 33's or above and 3.55's..... I've got 31" tires (LT265/75/16) and it was noticable, but tolerable in my case...... I did have to re-cal the VSS with a one tooth gear change (stock 20 tooth to a 19 tooth). But, on your trucks, you'd have to have the comp re-programmed because you don't have the $10 VSS gear...

There are lots of trucks out there with 3.55's and 33's (285/75/16), so it must be tolerable, but I tow a #4500 TT and I know I would not be liking them while towing...

Perfect combo would be some 4.10's with a 34x12.50x18 wheel tire combo.... I saw them in my latest Summit catalog with our bolt pattern (5x135mm), BFG AT's and some Centerline wheels for just under 2 grand ($1995) for a set of 4..... Did not include center caps however... Whatever to that! Anyway, I digress.......

Good luck!

Mitch
