9.75 drum to disc

I have made a bad choice about my recent purchase and found out that my disc assembly doent have the same pattern as a drum assembly. it was a stupid mistake and now im looking for brackets or just sell the thing and find a different axle. I have a 2001 5.4 and bought a 99 9.75 with limited slip and 4.10s. I have an open diff and 3.31s, they suck. anybody have any suggestions without it costing alot more. If it is Im gonna sell it. I already listed it in the classified area. Thanks everybody.

the bolt pattern for the drum assembly and disc assembly is different. the drum has like a rectangular pattern while the disc is square. where the assembly bolts onto the axle flange. I heard there wer brackets so they would bolt up but there sold with the whole nine yards and i just want the brackets. appreciate it.

You could call around and get pricing to have the pinion and diff transfered to your truck.

yeah i thought about that and its expensive. shops can take the gears out and put them in mine but then they wont warranty there work because i didnt buy them from them. On place told me 800 to change em, i asked how much of that was labor and he told me 200, I was like 600 for gears, and he told me those are the only ones he'll warranty if i buy them from him.

What was the warranty on the 9.75 with the 4.10s? Is there any way you can drill the adapter to fit the older style bolt pattern?

no, the flange is too small and theres no way to put in anymore holes to mount the calipers. I dont expect the guy to take it back or anything and i will eventually sell it or keep it and sooner or later do something with. Its my problem i made the mistake.
