Hub Nut size?

Looking to find out what the hub/axle nut sixe is on my 99 F150 4x4. Need to change out hub/bearing assembly. Need to know so I can purchase the socket when I pick up the part? Thanks for the help.

I could have sworn mine was a 36.... weird....

i used a 36mm for mine. it fits a little loose but it will work. the 36mm still has plenty to hold onto and the nut is something like grade 10 so it takes alot to mess it up.

35mm is nearly impossible to find. i'm sure there are places on the net that sell them but nobody had one when i needed it.

NEITHER 35mm or 1 3/8" FIT

I have both sockets, and neither fit my 1999 F-150. Headed back to get a 36mm or 1 1/2" right now. 3rd times a charm I hope.

The guy at Autozone told me it was a 36mm for my 2002 and that will work but is a little loose. The correct size is 35mm. Now, I have both.

I picked up a 36mm at O'reilly's. On my way home remembered it needed to be a deep socket. So I stopped at Auto Zone and picked up an 1 1/2" socket.(they didn't have 36mm). It did the trick, but it was a loose fit. My new axle came with a new nut. 35mm fits perfect.
