4 wheel drive ??

4 wheel drive ??

When im driving my truck (97 f150 4.6 4x4) in 4hi everything seems fine when driving straight but when u try to make a turn at low speeds it seems like something is binding is this normal i still a warrenty on the truck i got from the dealership i bought it from is this something i should have checked out by them

If it's binding when you turn in 4wd, you should be in 2wd. When turning, the fronts must traver farther than the rears, and if they are locked together in 4hi, something has to slip. On a high-traction surface, this causes the bucking, jerking, hopping feeling, and it's not good.

As stated, if the roadway is dry or nearly dry, this will happen and you should be in 2WD. When making a turn your inner wheels will be skipping or jerking to keep up with your outer wheels.
