Question Anyone running the Detroit True Trac?

I read all the technical information on the unit and sounds good. But I would like to get real life info if there is someone out there running one of these in there trucks, specially on the 9.75.

Would be interesting in being able to compare with the OEM, Auburn and Eaton LS units.

We'll see what we can get. As always, thank you in advance for your input.

Hello JMTruck,

I just had one put on my 2000 4x4 with a 9.75 rear axle. I had an OEM limited slip before and an Auburn limited slip on my 97 4x2. The OEM limited slip was OK but was fairly soft as far as limiting slip, the Auburn as very aggressive in limiting the slip in fact it was so aggressive I blow out 3 axle seals. The True Track seams to be in the middle but I have not had it off road yet, so far (the first 1000 on road miles) it has been great.

Thank you very much for the information. That's a great comparison. As soon as you hit it off the road come back and let me know on the outcome.

True trac is very GOOD!

If i have money i would put it in my truck since my 04 F150 limit slip is POS.

I have some friends in my off road club, have it in front and/or rear for mid rock crawling and it works really well!

It has NO CLUTCH pack, no parts to wear which is a A+.

Detriot company have been around for a long time so its good stuff!

YOMAN!
