Steering Column Rattle, 99-03

I don't know if this is the right forum to put this in or not, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

I've done some searching and found lots of info regarding this same problem on 04-05 trucks, but can't find anything on 97-03s.

My 99 has developed a rattle/noise somewhere in the steering column. It usually only happens/happens worse after the truck has been sitting in the sun for a while(at work) and I'm on the way home. I can make it stop by applying pressure on the wheel but can't figure out where it is coming from. By the time I get home, it usually stops, I'm assuming because the interior of the truck has cooled down(with the A/C on). The sound it makes is similar to relays clicking. Any help is greatly appreciated.
