IF it a 9 3/4",97 thruogh will take just under 3 quart's, if it's 00 or newer a little over 3.I used 75w 140 Richmond synthetic,it has the additive already in it for limited slip's.

You can order the fluid from Jeg's or Summit.

This is the stuff.

I used Royal Purple 75-140 in my LS. It also doesn't require the additive. I got it at Napa.

I used Amsoil 75w140 ($12/qt x3) for the rear and 75w90 ($8/qt x2) for the front (4x4). Got it from a GIJoes off the shelf. I added one bottle of friction modifier from the Fords part counter ($5) even thou the Amsoil said it was ok for LS rear ends..... My LS works great with 143k miles on it!!

I am not a mechanic (diclaimer)

When I changed mine, I did remove the cover, and let it drain completely, wipe out any excess grit, clean inside of cover.

Used a black RTV type sealant (caulk gun size) and made the seal around all of the bolt holes etc..

Put the cover back on and hand tightened. Let sit overnight and then completely tightened, refilled.

check for drips.

It seems to have worked.

well finished the job.. it wasnt hard at all. i ended up going with mobile 75w 140 jsut because no other place int eh area had 75w-140!! i didnt want to spend the whole pay check buying it at the dealership ha. i did add 1.5 bottles of the friction mod and used the black rtv for a gasket.. pretty simple except holding the bottles to get the lube in the hole sucked after a while! haha thanks for the help guys
