Question Noise/clunk comming from the rear?

I recently started noticing a clunk/clack noise to the rear of my truck. The noise happened when I would first accelerate (but not all the time) or when I hit a good size bump. Sometimes I can actually feel the vibration from whatever is making it at my feet.

Well today I had someone listen real closely while i pulled my truck up and down the driveway. And he said it sounds like its comming from the driveshaft at the pumkin, but its also happening in reverse and when i hit the brakes. So I got out and listened while he did the driving. I heard the same thing but also noticed that the driveshaft drops a whole lot (and raises) when put in reverse and when the brakes are applied, along with making the sound.

I got the truck completly stock about 9 months ago, and hadnt had any problems.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Lay under the truck, grasp, and do a bench pressing motion on the slip yoke, the front of the driveshaft, the rear of the driveshaft, and the companion flange.

Yea, I tried that when i first found the movement in the shaft.

But I figured it out, it was the ubolts. YEA NO *****! They were lose as crap, so i tightened them right up, no more problem.

I'm glad thats all it was!

Thanks for the reply though.
