locker?
I have a f-250 HD 4x4 v-8 460ci. It has 3.55 in the rear with a limited slip. I am doing some serious modifications to the entire truck. I want to lift it and put 35's on it and also do something for better traction. First, should I change the gear ratio or will 3.55 be enough for 35's ? Second, should I leave the limited slip in the rear? I plan to add an ARB air locker in the front for added traction when I need it...will the limited slip in the rear be enough or should I add an air locker there as well?
I would appreciate any ideas...Thanks

the arb lockers work great, if you put a arb locker in rear it makes tight turning almost impossiable. because the wheels are all locked together. you could try a detroit locker they will ratchet to allow a tighter turing radius.

I have ARBs front and back and love them. If you are going to put them in the front, you might as well put them in the back. Mainly, because you have to pay for the air-compressor, so adding another locker isn't much more $
As for your gears, it's preference. I have 36" tires and run 4.56 gears. I get about 12 MPG on the highway, but with the gears and ARBs locked there's not much that gets in my way.
